River Creek Retreat

Situated on an acreage only 30 minutes from downtown Winnipeg, complete with an outdoor eco-friendly hot tub, this private, main floor suite is surrounded by gardens, trees and a creek, offering the relaxation and quiet of a remote stay, with the convenience of the city close at hand. Perfect for a single person or couples retreat, family weekend getaway or a day of team building (8 persons max).  Have a project you need time and space to focus on, want to have a reunion with friends, does your remotely based team need a space to meet up and collaborate together? Consider our 900-sq ft timber frame straw-bale suite. In winter, experience the luxury of radiant floor heating. In summer, marvel at how the space remains cool without air conditioning. 

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, as well as dishes, glassware and cutlery, cooking utensils, pots & pans, S & P, oils & vinegars, a variety of spices, coffee & tea, a tea pot and a variety of serving dishes. The dining area hosts a large custom built 8-foot table, ample room for eating meals or larger work projects.

There are two bedrooms. The primary room has a queen bed. The secondary bedroom has a set of custom built twin bunk beds, large enough for adults. The secondary bedroom walls go 3/4 up, with plants growing along the upper edge.

There is a half bath, with the sink and toilet separated. There is also an enclosed room with a shower/bathtub and sink.

Your hosts live in a separate suite on the second floor of the barn, and Spirit the dog hangs out around the property and in the garage. The garage has a shared wall with the main floor suite, with a door that will remain locked during the rental.
